After failing[]
One foreign applicant I met at the Mito DL Center said that after failing a test you can continue driving under your Intl Driving Permit (even after one year of not returning home) until your next test, up to 6 months. It was this person's 3rd time (nearly 18 months). (Sounds too good to be true, although they said that taking a day off from a Japanese employer was harder than passing the test, and it cost a lot of money to take the test too.) Can anyone confirm or deny this law?
