The Central library (Chūō toshokan) is located next to the Tsukuba Museum of Art and the Tsukuba Expo Center near the terminal station of the Tsukuba Express.

Has a selection of books in English and free internet access via five terminals. Also has lots of bins containing children's books in English, French, Russian and Chinese in the children's section of the library. Also provides a copying service, but this involves filling out some forms.
